A little About My childhood
At the age of one, I started walking. How predictable, you must admit. (thank you). I made my first steps right into a big box, which then rolled towards the center of the road. It was the only road in the neighborhood, and yet, the scene was very scary. My mother says everyone looked for me for hours. Until someone noticed a box moving out by itself on the road. Since then, I have been in an endless struggle to step out and think ‘out of the box’.
Mommy wanted me to become a doctor or a dancer in a ballet group. I preferred drawing. I was drawing flowers and even landscapes, but I wasn’t doing so well. So I changed to drawing people, but not women yet. I was very good at cartoons, imaginary warriors, and Roman soldiers. My drawings were done with colored pencils that left a lot of ‘dirt’ in my mother’s white house. She was suffering but said little (thank you, mommy). The next few years of my childhood I prefer to forget, so let’s jump to age 43 shall we?
Making a Dream Come True
When I was a little boy, my dream was to get bigger, become an artist, and participate in art exhibitions.
I had no idea how to do that until I was 43. The truth is, I didn’t even try. Not in my own country. My moment of inspiration happened when I was with my dog outdoors one day. She was a bitch, actually. All she cared about were her own needs. “What about mine?”, I asked her. She said nothing. She was concentrating on wetting the green grass. So I asked myself, “What if I look on Google for erotic art shows in America? There must be some gallery that would say yes to me, right?”
Damn right. When I got back home, there was a sweet email waiting for me saying, “Hi, my name is Veronica. I am the owner of Echo Gallery in Chicago. I just saw your website, and I am impressed. Would you like to show your art in my gallery”?
I said YES! of course, and started a 7-year journey, touring several states in the USA and showing my erotic art in exhibitions and festivals. After a few years of creating erotica and sharing it with the world, another dream came true. I’ve created my sex positions art book and named it ‘Sama Sutra.’
